Jeff Partridge
Jeff is a native Georgian and currently makes his home in Douglasville. As a young teenager, Jeff was influenced and encouraged by his uncle, Joe Partridge, to pursue an interest in music. Joe Partridge was an original member of Bullsboro bluegrass band and long time member of Brush Fire.
Jeff was 11 when he first started playing guitar. When Jeff was 15, he received a banjo for Christmas. His uncle helped him get started and before long he had progressed to playing bass and eventually the mandolin and dobro. He is also a versatile singer whose vocal range allows him to sing all harmony parts from bass to tenor. Jeff enjoys filling in occasionally with bands as a utility musician.
Jeff has played with many bands in his 46 years of playing bluegrass music such as: The Bluegrass Engineers, Bullsboro, Brushfire, Counterpoint, Overdrive, Peachtree Station, Old Mill Road and Georgia Bound.
Jeff’s interests and contributions to bluegrass music are not limited to his instrumental and vocal abilities. Jeff has also served on the board of SEBA (the South Eastern Bluegrass Association) and was a co-emcee with his long time friend, Donnie Lee, at the Hoofers Gospel Barn Bluegrass Festivals.
From time to time you may find Jeff recording in his home studio.
